This was another older chorus I had from the Covid-onset era. Man, I was in a dark place then. Jees. Anyway, this was about knowing it was your last night with your lover. And you don’t want to face the next day so you try to stay asleep and live in that moment at peace together. Once I got home from the hospital and thought about this song, the verses were easy to write. This is about being with my wife in our dreams, where we can stay forever safe together.
